DR. AMARDEEP DASTIDAR

INTRODUCTION

I qualified in 2004 and have got >15yrs of experience in cardiology. I was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at the North Bristol NHS Trust and Bristol Heart Institute in May 2020. I am the cardiology lead for research, audit and rehab at NBT.

I completed my postgraduate medical training in the Yorkshire Deanery. My specialist training in cardiology was undertaken in the Severn Deanery. After core cardiology training, I undertook a period of out of programme research studying the novel diagnostic role of cardiac magnetic resonance in acute coronary syndrome, culminating in the award of a PhD from the University of Bristol (March 2020). I have got >100 publications in high impact journals and won multiple international and national young investigator awards. My sub-specialist cardiology training in the coronary intervention was undertaken in the South West.
