ABOUT DR EMANUELA ALATI
Dr. Emanuela Alati is a Consultant Cardiologist with experience in advanced cardiac imaging and clinical cardiology. Currently serving as the Clinical Lead for Echocardiography and Valve Clinic at Wexham Park Hospital.
Dr. Alati completed her medical degree at the University of Messina, Italy, and subsequently pursued her specialisation in cardiology, earning her MD in 2007, and her CCT in cardiology in 2012. She then underwent a comprehensive training in advanced echocardiography, cardiac MRI and heart failure at esteemed institutions such as San Raffaele Hospital Cardio-Thoracic Centre in Milan, Royal Brompton Hospital in London, and St. George’s Hospital, London.
During her time in Italy she also contributed to research and completed a Second Level Master Degree in 2016 focusing on post-operative management of patients with valvular disease and heart failure.
Dr. Alati gained valuable experience in diagnosing and managing various cardiovascular conditions, including valvular heart disease, ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyoathy, hypertension, microvascular angina, palpitations, syncope, arrhythmias, cardiac sarcoidosis.
In her current role at Wexham Park Hospital, Dr. Alati leads the echocardiography department and the Valve Clinic Service. She specialises in advanced cardiac imaging techniques, including transthoracic echocardiography, contrast echocardiography and bubble study, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac MRI. She is experienced in assessing and diagnosing conditions such as valvular heart disease, heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
Dr. Alati is a member of various medical societies such as the Royal College of Physicians in London, the European Society of Cardiology, and the British Society of Echocardiography.
