DR. GOSIA WAMIL

INTRODUCTION

Dr Gosia Wamil, PhD is an Oxford-trained, internationally recognised consultant cardiologist. Her specialties are heart failure, cardiomyopathies and advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging.

She trained in cardiology at Oxford University Hospitals, completing fellowships in advanced imaging, heart failure, and cardiomyopathies, and holds international accreditations in cardiac MRI, CT, and echo. Dr Wamil has received multiple awards and fellowships from the British Heart Foundation, the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and the European Society of Cardiology.

Alongside her clinical practice, she is clinician scientist at the University of Oxford and a member of the NICE Diabetes Pharma Committee, where she co-authored national guidelines. She also serves on the board of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.

Dr Wamil places great emphasis on a holistic, personalised approach, with a strong focus on the unique aspects of cardiovascular disease in women. She is recognised for her clear, accessible explanations, ensuring patients feel informed and confident about their care.
