ABOUT DR YOUSEF DARYANI

Dr Daryani is a Consultant Cardiologist based in Southwest London and Surrey. Dr Daryani has many years’ experience as a qualified doctor and 15 years as a consultant cardiologist. He graduated from St George’s Hospital, London, having completed his MSc & PhD in Genetics. His medical training rotation was at St George’s hospital, Bart’s and the London. He trained in cardiology at London Chest, St Thomas’ and St George’s hospital. He was a senior Registrar and a fellow in cardiac imaging at St George’s hospital and Royal Brompton hospital, London. He previously worked as a consultant cardiologist at East & North Hertfordshire NHS trust and was also an honorary consultant at Harefield hospital.

In recognition of his educational service supervising medical students (American University of Caribbean School of Medicine & Ross University School of Medical) during their clinical clerkships and electives in the UK, he is appointed as Associate Clinical Professor. He is also the lead for cardiac imaging in his trust.

His areas of interest are general adult cardiology including angina, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiomyopathy. His special interests are cardiac imaging including advanced echocardiography, stress echo, cardiac MRI. He has performed hundreds of coronary angiogram, pacemaker implants, stress echo, TOE and cardiac MRI.

He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physician, European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. He is an active member of British Society of echo, EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging), and Society of Cardiac MRI (SCMR).
