PROFESSOR PAUL LEESON

INTRODUCTION

Professor Paul Leeson is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist who sees private patients in Oxford and London. He consults on a range of Cardiology issues, with a particular interest in optimal blood pressure management, especially in young patients, individuals with hypertension after pregnancy, or those with challenging blood pressure control. He received recognition from the British and Irish Hypertension Society as a Hypertension Specialist and heads the Oxford Specialist Hypertension Clinic, where he also provides specialist expertise in Cardiac Imaging.

Professor Leeson has contributed to the development of hypertension guidelines in the UK and Europe, as well as leading a research programme developing innovative approaches to diagnose and manage cardiology problems, which are now used in hospitals. Professor Leeson is the editor of several award-winning textbooks, published in collaboration with Oxford University Press, and provides independent advice and commentary to the media and other organisations on emerging cardiology developments.
